The PLT5 type heater features a heating element made of a stainless steel (SUS316L) tube with an outer diameter of 48.6mm. Compared to the GA5 type screw-in heater and the PL5 type plate flange heater, which use standard outer diameter 12mm sheath heater elements, the heater element is cylindrical and has a simple shape. This makes it less prone to scale (deposits and contaminants that precipitate and adhere from the heated liquid) and easy to clean.
